Scan to Pay PromptPay QR via TrueMoney with Your Visa Card
And Enjoy Cashback and Exciting Rewards

Bangkok, 2 September 2026 – TrueMoney, Southeast Asia’s leading fintech platform under Ascend Money, today announced a major partnership with Visa, a world leader in digital payments, to launch ‘Scan to Pay PromptPay QR with Your Visa Card.’ For the first time, TrueMoney users can link their Visa credit or debit card directly to the TrueMoney app to scan and pay PromptPay QR codes at participating merchants, giving Thai consumers a more flexible payment option for everyday spending. Moreover, users can enjoy exclusive campaigns to win cashback, big prizes, and more after scanning to pay.

Thai consumers have embraced scan-to-pay as part of their everyday payment habits. Data published by DataReportal shows that 61.5% of internet users in Thailand aged 16 and above scan QR codes on their mobile phones each month, ranking Thailand third globally for mobile QR code usage. Meanwhile, National ITMX reported that, as of the end of June 2026, PromptPay had more than 83 million registered IDs and processed over 2.39 billion transactions during the month, with a combined value exceeding THB 4.38 trillion. These figures reflect Thai consumers’ strong familiarity with digital transactions and highlight the opportunity to bring greater choice and flexibility to the scan-to-pay experience.

Link Your Visa Card and Start Scanning to Pay on TrueMoney

Users simply link an eligible Visa credit or debit card to the TrueMoney app, select the Visa card as their payment source, scan the PromptPay QR code at a participating merchant, review the transaction details, and confirm payment through the app. Full usage details and terms are available through TrueMoney’s official channels.

Scan to Pay and Get THB 30 Cashback on First Use and a Chance to Win Big Prizes

To introduce users to this new scan-to-pay experience, Visa cardholders can receive THB 30 cashback on their first payment made by scanning a PromptPay QR code through TrueMoney using an eligible Visa credit or debit card. The transaction must be at least THB 100 and made at a participating merchant. The offer is available from today until 31 December 2026 and is limited to one redemption per user throughout the campaign period.*

Moreover, from now until 30 September 2026, users can stand a chance to win gold necklaces, cashback and TrueMoney Coins from a prize pool worth more than THB 6 million. Users can scan to pay PromptPay QR codes using a linked Visa card or other sources. Users can claim their entry via the in-app notification after completing a successful payment and receive up to 10 chances to win per user per month.*

Bringing the Easy Scan & Pay Experience to Silom and Asoke

To raise awareness and help establish the new service as part of everyday spending, TrueMoney and Visa are rolling out the “Easy Scan & Pay Caravan” to showcase the easy scan-to-pay experience with Visa on TrueMoney, now available at participating merchants nationwide. The campaign kicks off with on-the-ground activities in two major Bangkok business districts, Silom and Asoke, covering Silom Soi 10 Market, Lalaisap Market, the market outside Silom Complex, and SWU Market. Over two days, the caravans will engage office workers, shop owners, and consumers directly, demonstrating the service and inviting them to try scanning to pay in real time, along with prize giveaways.
